TL;DR — Your data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information.

1. Data Storage

All portfolio data (holdings, quantities, cost basis, settings) is stored locally on your device in a JSON file within the app's sandboxed Documents directory. We have no server-side database and cannot access your portfolio.

2. Network Requests

The app makes the following network requests to provide its features:

Price data — Stock symbols you hold are sent to our proxy server (api.portfolio-monitor.uk) to retrieve historical price data and exchange rates. Only the stock ticker symbols and the number of days requested are transmitted. No personal information is included.
Screenshot OCR — If you use the screenshot import feature, the screenshot image is sent to our proxy server for AI-powered text recognition. The image is used solely for extracting stock holdings and is not stored, logged, or shared. It is discarded immediately after processing.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

Names, email addresses, or contact information
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Location data
Usage analytics or crash reports
Screenshots or images
Financial account credentials

4. Third-Party Services

Price data is sourced from Yahoo Finance via our proxy server. The proxy forwards only stock ticker symbols and does not log or store any information about individual users or requests beyond a short-lived cache (up to 15 minutes) of price data shared across all users.

5. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
